Across the globe, 27 million men, women, and children live in some form of slavery. That is more people at this moment than in all the centuries of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Something must be done. This contest serves two purposes: Raising awareness about human trafficking and raising funds for the Not For Sale organization.

This is a photograph of the bottom of a bucket in my bathroom where I store my plunger. The pattern is a result of the crystallization of various cleaning chemicals over time.
As I worked with this image I became entranced by its resemblance to a satellite image of the Earth on a clear day -- a world, in a plunger bucket. Second place winner of  Beauty in unexpected places contest. |
